Anno Syros Rebetiko Festival 2019

Rebetiko is one of the four genres of urban music in the world, along with Jazz,

Tango and Portuguese Fados.

As Manos Hadjidakis used to say in his rebetiko lecture: "Although 67 years ago, these songs

are so close to us and to such an extent of ours, that I do not

think we have anything else today to claim the same."

This projects demonstrates the simplicity and authenticity of the rebetiko culture,with a modern aesthetic

and strong,bold colors combined with some classic typography.

Tools used

Adobe Illustrator for the design of the label and the custom shapes

as well as the fonts.

Adobe Photoshop used to display the design inside the template

Adobe Lightroom for the lighting correction

Adobe InDesign for the pagination of the booklet and the brochure

Methodology

The design process i followed for this one was an initial brainstorming , concluding to some

quick sketches ,then turned into fast prototypes. Then i made a case study
